LATINO RALLY

Please note the location for the Latino Rally has changed. The Sunday evening Latino Rally with the General will now be held at the Los Angeles Central Corps.

CHILDCARE

Childcare this year will only be available for the Commissioning and Ordination service and the Appointments service. Childcare will commence thirty minutes prior to each meeting, and children will need to be picked up no later than thirty minutes following the meeting (or charges will incur). This year’s age range is from infant to 11 years old.

It is important that you fill out and pay your childcare registration (available from your corps officer) to THQ no later than June 1st. The cost is five dollars per meeting for one child, and three dollars for each additional child. Childcare location will be in classrooms and separated into age appropriate groups. Plan to bring your whole family to Commissioning—be part of the experience and allow our qualified staff to look after your children.

Meals

For those wishing to have lunch and dinner during commissioning Saturday, these may be purchased for $10 each and will be provided at the First Church of the Nazarene. All meals must be purchased ahead of time; a registration form for meals is available from your corps officer. The form, along with payment, must be submitted to THQ by June 1, 2004.

TRANSLATION

Translation will be provided at Commissioning and Service of Appointments events in Spanish and Korean to ensure that our soldiers are all able to participate in the celebration.

Commissioning and Ordination Service will be at 2:00 p.m. and Service of Appointments will be at 6:00 p.m. We anticipate having many friends from the Hispanic and Korean corps with us to share in the excitement of these significant events in the life of The Salvation Army.

There are many more languages spoken in our territory—Laotian, Chinese, Hmong, and Portuguese, just to name a few. We look forward to the day when we can offer translation services for these communities as well. However, we will not be able to provide translation in these languages this year.

A translation table will be at the entrance of the auditorium. Please come and sign in for your personal headset. All headsets will need to be returned at the end of the second service. Advanced reservations to secure translation services are not necessary. When you arrive, just approach the translation table and we will be ready to accommodate you!
