Yo aprendí de El Ejercito de Salvación in 1991 por una invitacion a la Escuela Dominical y despues una invitacion a La Lige de Hogar.

Yo aprendí de los diferentes programas que hay en Ejercito de Salvación, así fue como tuve la oportunidad de trabajar como asistente del oficial del cuerpo en la Escuela Dominical. La Capitana compartió su visión conmigo referido a los “barrios.” Empezamos oración por nuestra visión los Sábados por la Escuela Dominical. En dos años (1993) realizamos nuestra visión en dos lugares. Por esta visión fuimos mirando los resultados de los niños y después de los padres. Este proyecto fue empezado con un grupo de cinco personas. Otra vez, nosotros oramos por nuestras comunidades y por la gente, ahora tenemos ocho barrios y dos líderes. Nosotros vamos a los barrios los Sábados de 11:00 a.m. a 3:00 p.m.

Estos barrios son libres de pandillas, drogas, y delincuencia. Uno de estos edificios arreglo su estructura, pero mas que todo el poder del Señor a cambiado las vidas de los chicos sus familias, no nomás fisicamente si no sus caracteres han combiado con sus hijos. Como resultado, 40% de estos niños atienden la Escuela Dominical acompañados de sus padres.

I learned of The Salvation Army in 1991 through an invitation to Sunday school, and then another invitation to Home League.

When I became aware of the different programs in The Salvation Army, this gave me the opportunity to become a corps officer’s assistant in Sunday school. Captain Delgado shared her vision with me in regard to the barrios. We started prayer for our vision…Saturday Sunday school. Within two years (1993) we became successful in two places. Through this success we watched the results of children participating, then their parents. This project was started with a group of five persons. Again, we prayed for more communities and more people. As a result we now have eight barrio meetings and two group leaders. We go to the barrios on Saturdays from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

These barrios have been cleansed from gangs, drugs, and delinquency. One of these buildings fixed their structure, but over all the power of the Lord has changed the lives of the little ones and their families. Not only physically, but their attitudes have changed with their children. As a result, 40 percent of these children attend Sunday school accompanied by their parents.
