Army is on hand to provide services to those in need.

Emergency Disaster Service (EDS) crews of The Salvation Army were on the scene after a building collapsed in Philadelphia on June 5, killing six people and injuring 14 others.

The building, located at 22nd and Market Street in downtown Philadelphia, collapsed onto The Salvation Army Family Store located next door. EDS supplied food and hydration while emergency efforts were underway.

“Our number one concern is for the safety of our customers and the employees who were involved,” said Major John Cranford of The Salvation Army of Philadelphia. “We are coordinating with the police and fire department and local authorities. We ask for the public to pray for those involved.”
