Morelocks Serve NW in Interim

Lt. Colonels Chris and Janice Buchanan will be taking sick leave effective October 18, 1999, according to an announcement by Colonel Philip D. Needham, chief secretary.

Lt. Colonels Mervyn and Shirley Morelock (R) will be serving as interim divisional commander and director of women’s organizations in the Northwest Division, November 1, 1999 through January 28, 2000. New appointments will be announced.

Buchanan is receiving treatment for cancer.

“We extend our strong prayer support to the Buchanans during these days of rest and renewal. May the Holy Spirit bring healing and renewed strength,” stated Needham. “We also solicit Salvationist prayer for the Morelocks and we express gratitude to them for their generosity in offering this valuable service in their retirement.”

The Buchanans have served as divisional leaders in the Northwest since 1997.
